How to Connect Claude to Gmail
Your inbox, triaged before you open it. An agent holds the Gmail connection, starts read-only, and surfaces the few threads that actually need you.
You can have Claude working with Gmail in about ten minutes, and you don't have to build or babysit an MCP server to get there. Doesn't Claude already connect to Gmail?
It does. Claude's connector directory has an official Gmail connector you can switch on in Claude's settings. For questions in a chat, and on plans with scheduled tasks for simple recurring jobs too, it is a genuinely good tool. We'd point you to it even if we sold nothing.

Where a higher permission level is available on your account, you can raise it after connecting to let agents send, save drafts for you, or clear mail to Trash. Nothing is raised silently; each level is a choice you make.
