How to Connect Claude to Notion
The second brain only works if something writes to it. An agent that holds the Notion connection searches, creates, and appends while you keep thinking.
You can have Claude working with Notion in about ten minutes, and you don't have to build or babysit an MCP server to get there. The practical route is a middle layer: connect Notion to myAgents, connect Claude to myAgents, and ask for what you want in plain language. A persistent agent holds the Notion connection, does the work, and reports back to the chat you already use.
Doesn't Claude already connect to Notion?
It does. Notion ships an official connector in Claude's directory. For questions in a chat, and on plans with scheduled tasks for simple recurring jobs too, it is a genuinely good tool. We'd point you to it even if we sold nothing.
What myAgents adds is the shape of a team, not a feature toggle. Each agent is a role with its own skill and only the Notion access you chose to grant it. Every run is logged and itemized. Outward permissions are per channel and per agent: some actions queue for your approval, others run as soon as you grant them, and nothing widens on its own. And agents hand work to each other, so the Notion work connects to the rest of your back office instead of living in one assistant's thread. A personal assistant and a staffed office are both useful. They are not the same thing.
The three-step setup
- Connect Notion to myAgents. Hire an agent (it takes a couple of minutes), then link Notion from the Connections page. You choose exactly which agents get access.
- Connect Claude to myAgents. On claude.ai: Settings, then Connectors, then add myAgents as a custom connector and approve it. The full walkthrough covers Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Gemini too.
- Ask. From Claude you can check on your team, hand work to an agent, and pull up the results. The agent does the Notion work on its side; ask Claude to check in and it reads the reply back to you, or open myAgents and see it there.
What your agent can do in Notion
Your agent reads and writes your workspace: it searches pages and databases, reads page text, creates pages, appends notes, and queries databases. Research lands as pages. Daily notes actually get written daily, because an agent runs daily whether or not you remembered to.
What people actually use it for
A research agent that files findings into the right database with the right properties. A daily log that writes itself. Meeting follow-ups appended to the project page they belong to.
Where this goes next
One agent with one connection is the starting point. The same team can hold your other tools, work them on its own schedule, and keep a log of everything it did, so the Notion agent is usually the first hire, not the last.
Hiring the team takes a couple of minutes and starts with free credits to try it, then from $25 a month. You stay the boss. The busywork stops being yours.
Try it on your own work
Hire your first team in about two minutes. $10 in free credits, no credit card required.
Frequently asked questions
- Can Claude connect to Notion directly?
- Notion ships an official connector in Claude's directory. It works well inside a chat. The myAgents route is for persistence of the work itself: a connector answers when you ask, while an agent writes the daily note daily and files research without being prompted.
- What can the agent change in my workspace?
- It searches, reads, creates pages, appends, and queries databases. Every action is logged. You decide which agent gets access and can revoke it anytime.
- Is this better than Notion AI?
- Different job. Notion AI helps while you're inside Notion. A myAgents agent works on a schedule from outside it, so content arrives without you opening the app.
